19 year old, Yusuf Adesola and Folarin Samsudeen who allegedly gang raped a girl have been remanded to Abolongo Correctional center following the order of an Iyaganku Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ibadan

The Academic Student Union of Universities, ASUU has commenced an industrial action because the Federal Government have failed to fulfill their promise and paid salary of their staff, the minister of Labor Ngige in his statement said the ASUU strike is illegal as they did not inform the FG before going on leave, The University of Benin Yesterday on Wednesday supported the strike as they blocked roads. Also, The minister of Education,  Malamu Adamu was also surprised as they go on the industrial action as it was not expected, ASUU said the strike can end in one week if demands are met. University of Jos have ordered their students to vacate campus as there would be no lecture or activity in the campus, University of Abuja also has joined in as much as other tertiary institutions.
